Cyber Scholarships for Displaced Youth
Supporting Displaced Youth with an Empowering and Unique Learning Experience
Since October 7th, tens of thousands of adults, teens, and children are still displaced from their homes. Adolescents face significant challenges following the evacuation: academic challenges, difficulties adapting to new educational frameworks, a lack of after-school activities, emotional stress, social isolation, and uncertainty about the future.
The project provides a life-changing educational experience - a unique cybersecurity course for ages 14-17 that offers:
-
An empowering learning experience to help ease the emotional stress of the war and displacement.
-
A safe and enriching environment to study and develop valuable future skills.
-
A sense of community and belonging, connecting with other teens.
-
Knowledge and tools to identify and address online threats.
-
Preparation for military service and a pathway to a future career in cybersecurity.
This 25-session course (75 academic hours) covers internet safety, data privacy, coding, digital literacy, and more.
Cost for one teen to participate in the project is $1,400.
*Cost completion is made by ISRAEL CYBER CAMPUS as an in-kind donation $350 per participant.
Every scholarship makes a difference and has an impact!
We invite you to donate, as much as you can, and to take part in this essential support for displaced youth, and in training the next generation of Israel's cyber warriors.
Displaced Youth tell us:
Tal, displaced from the north of Israel:
"... I want to deepen my knowledge and study the field of computers. Participating in this course will help me focus on something positive and meaningful amidst everything I’ve been going through this past year."
Gal, displaced from the north of Israel:
"... I will use the scholarship to expand my knowledge in computers and cybersecurity. I hope to join the army in a cyber role. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but due to the war, priorities changed, and it was no longer possible -so this scholarship is a huge gift for me."
